School bus routes 2023

If your regular school bus is a blue or white dedicated school bus:
- No Bee Card required.
If your regular school bus is operated by a yellow Bayhopper vehicle:
- Bee Card required (must be pre-loaded with a child concession and you must tag on and off the bus to avoid being charged the default fare)

Students are required to use a Bee Card on some bus routes (see article 'Do I need a Bee card for my School bus?' in the FAQ section) – if using a Bee Card make sure that you have your child concession loaded otherwise you will be charged the default fare. If this puts your Bee card balance below $0, you will be unable to tag on again until you top-up.
If you are a student and paying by cash, please either be in school uniform or present your student ID to the driver to have your concession applied.
School students aged 5-18 years old will enjoy free bus travel on all Bayhopper buses 24/7. To take up this free travel, students need to have a registered Bee Card with a child concession pre-loaded. The key is to tag on when entering and tag off when leaving the bus so you don’t get charged a default, standard fare.
