Temporary suspension of bike rack use on buses

From Saturday 9 November, bike racks on all buses will be temporarily unavailable. This measure follows recent safety information indicating that bike racks on some bus models in New Zealand may partially obstruct headlights.

We understand that biking and public transport go hand-in-hand for many of you, and we’re working closely with our operators and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to get clarity on this issue. If our buses are affected, we’ll work toward a safe, long-term solution. This temporary restriction allows us to prioritise safety while the issue is under review.
