Due to the partial closure of Kakahoroa Drive, Whakatāne, inbound trips on routes 122 and 135 will detour as follows:

• From McAlister Street
• Turn Right onto Pyne Street
• Turn Left onto Commerce Street
• Turn Right onto Canning Place
• Turn Left onto George Street
• Take roundabout to Quay Street (I-Site Bus Stop)

Outbound trips will remain unchanged.

Starting Wednesday 24 June, Route 2B and 2W will be renamed to Route 2 in Transit App and Google Maps. This simplification will streamline routes and provide consistent information across platforms. The change will gradually be reflected in bus stop signs, bus displays, and printed timetables over the next few months.

No Changes to Routes or Timings: The routes and trip timings will remain the same.

Digital Bus Signs: Buses traveling from Tauranga City to Pāpāmoa will still display "2B/2W" on the front digital bus sign during the transition period to help everyone adjust. Over time, these will also change to display "2".

 Thank you for your understanding through this transition.
