Our website includes many great features to help you find out the best way to get from A to B using our Baybus network.

Plan your trip

Desktop

On desktop, you can start by searching for your route, location or bus stop using the search on the home page.

Timetables

Find our timetables

Desktop

All our timetables can be found under the Plan your trip menu, or by searching for a route from the home page.

Select the region or service that applies to you and then use the dropdowns to find your timetables.

On mobile, start by clicking Timetables at the bottom of the page and follow the same directions as above.

Change the timetable to show the direction you want to travel in

Look at the route description at the top of the screen. Not right? Click switch direction to change.

Route information

This is where you can find a quick link to fare information, or for any special information you might need to know about that route - for example if it uses a different type of vehicle, we'll list that here.

Live tracking

Also found from your timetable page - you can see where the buses currently are on the route. You can also click into the different trips to get up to date information about when the bus is expected at your stop.

Stops

Depending on where you are in the site, you can view stop information in different ways. 

Bus stops on timetables

The main timing stops are shown by default on our timetables. To see all stops on a route, click on show all stops. You can also add a stop to have your regular stops appear.

Click on the x by a stop to remove it.

NOTE: These changes will only apply to the device you set them up on.

Get stop specific information

Click on the names of stops in the timetable, or click on a stop on the homepage to see what trips (and routes) are scheduled to next pass by.

Alerts

Alerts will show across the site in different ways, look for an orange or blue banner. Our most regular alerts will be orange to let you know something about the trip, route or stop you're looking at, while an information alert will be blue.

Other places to find alerts

You can find all alerts under the Plan your trip menu, and they will also show in different places across the site, depending on what page you’re on.

Favourites

If you've got bus stops, routes or even just destinations you regularly use, you can favourite these to make them faster to find next time you use the site. 

You can find Favourites under the Plan your trip menu. It's here where you can also set up specific places as favourites, and remove them.

Create a favourite

Look for the star next to a route or stop, and click on it to turn it yellow.

Key tip: once you've set up routes and stops as favourites, you can use them to filter alerts so that you only see the ones relevant to you.

 

Add the site to your mobile device's home screen so you can access it quickly

This site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on desktop computers. So make sure you add www.baybus.co.nzopen_in_new to your homescreen as a link. 

You may need to look up specific instructions for your device, but general directions are below.

For an iPhone

To add a website to the home screen on iPhone, open Safari and tap the share button. Choose "Add to Home Screen" from the menu.

On Android

Open Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and select "Add to Home Screen" or "Add to Phone" from the menu.
